This Privacy Policy explains how Hunter Truck Sales & Service, LLC d/b/a Hunter Truck and its affiliated locations (“Hunter Truck,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you visit huntertruck.com (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Who We Are
Hunter Truck is a family-owned, fourth-generation authorized Peterbilt truck dealership that has provided truck sales, parts, service, leasing, and rental since 1938. We operate 19 locations across Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and West Virginia, serving the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
We collect information you give us when you:
- Submit a contact form or general inquiry (name, email, phone, company, message).
- Sign up for our email list or promotional offers.
- Opt in to text/SMS messaging (your mobile number and related consent records, as described in Section 5).
- Apply for a job/career opening (name, contact details, resume, work history, and other application materials).
- Submit a credit application, which may include financial and sensitive identifying information. Sales credit applications are processed through a third-party Salesforce-hosted portal, and parts/service credit applications are submitted via our downloadable form (see Section 6).
- Order parts, request service, or inquire about inventory, sales, leasing, or rental.
- Make or set up a payment, including through our virtual card payment page. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, and we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers).
- Usage data (pages viewed, links clicked, referring URLs, time on site, and search/filter activity within our inventory tools).
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).
Information from third parties
We may receive information from advertising and analytics partners, our manufacturer (Peterbilt/PACCAR) systems, and lead or financing partners, consistent with their privacy practices.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Respond to inquiries, quotes, and sales/parts/service requests.
- Process credit applications, payments, and transactions.
- Manage email and text-message subscriptions and send offers you request.

5. Text/SMS Messaging
If you opt in to receive text messages from us (for example, by providing your mobile number and consenting on a form), we use your number to send the messages you requested, such as service updates, offers, or account-related communications. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories described in this Policy exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Opting out. You can opt out of receiving future text messages at any time by replying STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT-OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the details in Section 14.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with:
- Service providers who perform services for us, such as hosting, analytics, advertising, payment processing, CRM, email/SMS, call handling, and application processing. For example, sales credit applications are submitted through a third-party Salesforce-hosted portal (huntertruck.my.site.com).
- Advertising partners (Google, Meta) in connection with the technologies in Section 4. Depending on your jurisdiction, certain cookie-based advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, and you can opt out as described in Sections 4 and 8.
- Our manufacturer and business partners, such as Peterbilt/PACCAR, PacLease, and parts partners including the Online Parts Counter and JTP Heavy Duty Parts, where needed to fulfill your request.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may share information to comply with law, respond to legal process, or protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers. We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
8. Your Privacy Rights
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected.
- Delete personal information, subject to exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of certain targeted advertising.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information.
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

Residents of other states with privacy laws (for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and others) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us using the details above to exercise applicable rights.
9. Job Applicants
Information you submit when applying for employment is used to evaluate your application and for recruiting and hiring purposes.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for a business and general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site contains links to third-party sites and services, including manufacturer portals, the Online Parts Counter, JTP Heavy Duty Parts, PacLease leasing/rental, financing applications, payment processors, social media, and embedded video. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent changes. Material changes will be indicated as required by law. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
