Award-winning Peterbilt dealer group, Hunter Truck, has acquired Dimmick Group Peterbilt and Lucky’s Truck and Trailer Sales.

Hunter Truck is proud to announce the acquisition of Dimmick Group Peterbilt and Lucky’s Truck and Trailer Sales, expanding its footprint with 10 additional locations across New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire.

Since 1938, Hunter Truck has been providing reliable parts, service, and sales while building strong relationships with its customers. What began as a single service station in Eau Claire, Pennsylvania, has grown into one of the most respected commercial truck dealer groups in North America.

More than 30 years ago, Russell “Lucky” Dimmick Jr. and his team set out to create a one-stop, full-service truck and trailer business across New England. Their commitment to supporting the hard-working men and women of the transportation industry has allowed them to grow their truck and trailer sales, parts, and service throughout the region.

This acquisition expands Hunter’s footprint and allows us to welcome the dedicated and hardworking employees of Dimmick Group Peterbilt and Lucky’s Truck and Trailer Sales to the Hunter Truck family. Their experience, commitment to customer service, and relationships within their communities make them an invaluable part of our continued growth, and we look forward to honoring their legacy while continuing a tradition of excellence together.

As of today, August 3, 2026, all Dimmick Group Peterbilt locations will operate under the Hunter Truck name. The Lucky’s Truck and Trailer Sales name will be retained for our trailer sales division.
