Butler, PA, May 19, 2023- Peterbilt Motors Company hosted a legendary unveiling of the new Model 589 on May 9, 2023, in Denton, Texas. This traditional on-highway vehicle carries the renowned Peterbilt design and craftsmanship that has been a part of their trucks since 1939.
Acclaimed for its legendary features, advanced technologies, and modern interior appointments, the 589 is not only built for high performance and maximum up-time, but it has a road presence that is unmistakably Peterbilt. The model 589 is a true connection of the heritage that lives in Peterbilts This new model represents both tradition and innovation with new features, and legacy features that are present in each truck that Peterbilt Motors Company has created.
Our Hunter Truck team was a part of the exclusive crowd at the 589-launch event at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. Attendees were not only able to get a look at the new Model 589, but also be a part of a Drive & Ride event featuring the 589 and other Peterbilt trucks. A Pride & Class Truck Show was also held at the speedway where Peterbilt owners brought and showed off their trucks from 1941 all the way to 2023. This show paid homage to the iconic nature of the Peterbilt brand and the trucks they have been producing for generations.
“Peterbilt in itself is generational, from the people that work here to the trucks,” said Danielle Prebe, Director of Truck Sale Operations. “They know how to leave a legacy.”
A plant tour was also available to our Hunter Truck team to take advantage of and see where Peterbilt trucks are brought to life.
“The plant tour was very cool to see,” said Heidi Kaufman, Corporate Inventory Control Specialist. “I was amazed at how happy all the employees are to be a part of this project. Peterbilt is making improvements and changes that will benefit the 589 and EV models at the plant.”
Peterbilt is known for trucks that embody Pride & Class; the Model 589 does just that and it carries all the best things that a Peterbilt should. It takes the traditional elements and adds newer, sleeker, and more refined features to give drivers modern comfort and enhanced safety.
