Hunter Truck Featured By NYSERDA In EV Case Study

Nov 20, 2024

Hunter Truck – Buffalo was featured in a NYSERDA case study earlier this year. The case study was conducted around zero emissions vehicles as well as the voucher and purchase process. The case also features Hunter Truck customer, Page Trucking, who purchased their first ever electric truck, the Peterbilt 579EV.

NYSERDA interviewed our team at Buffalo and discussed the purchase process, production timeline, and what owning a Peterbilt EV looks like. Our team talked about the differences in purchasing an EV compared to a diesel engine, EV-certified technicians in the shop, and what the battery in the Peterbilt 579EV looks like.

Hunter Truck – Buffalo customer, Page Trucking, spoke to entering the EV space and its future, maintaining their Peterbilt 579EV, and the differences in the driver experience. They said the truck handles the same as its diesel engine counterpart, and that despite it being something many aren’t used to, those that have driven it say it is quiet, powerful and nice to drive.

From the application process, purchase and delivery, to maintaining your EV, our team at Hunter Truck is well-versed in zero emissions vehicles and how they can best fit into your business.

The Electric Semi Has Arrived – Hunter Truck and Page Trucking

NYSERDA recently caught up with Hunter and Page, two New York State-based trucking companies operating in the electric truck space. The two worked together to apply for and receive funds through the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP), which were used toward Page’s purchase of a new electric semi.
We asked Hunter and Page to explain how they purchased a zero-emission Peterbilt 579EV. Check out their responses below.
